UPSC has announced the official notification for CDS(II), NDA/NA(II) Examination on 28th May,2025. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website at upsconline.nic.in.The last date to apply for both the examinations is 17th June,2025. To know more, read below.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applications for Combined Defence Service(CDS) Examination 2025 and National Defence Academy(NDA) and Naval Academy II(NA) Examination 2025. The online registration process starts from 29th May,2025 and will remain active till 17th June,2025. Both the National Defence Academy(NDA)/National Academy(NA) II written exam and the Combined Defence Service(CDS) II written exam will be held on 14th September,2025.
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 453 vacancies via the Combined Defence Service examination and 406 vacancies via the National Defence Academy /Naval Academy II examination.

Eligibility Criteria of NDA/NA II Examination 2025
Educational Qualification
1. To appear in the CDS exam, UPSC has prescribed educational qualifications mentioned below –

| Indian Military Academy(IMA) and Officers’ Training Academy(OTA) | Graduation from a recognised University |
| Indian Naval Academy(INA) | An engineering degree form a recognised university/institute |
| Air Force Academy(AFA) | Graduation (with Physics and Mathematics in Class 12) or Bachelor of Engineering |
2. Educational requirement to appear in NDA/Na II exam—
| For Army wing of NDA | 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by State Education Board or a University |
| For Naval and Air wings | 12th class pass with Chemistry, Physics, Maths. |

Important to know about UPSC CDS & NDA/NA II Exam :
A New Online Portal for applications has been launched by UPSC this year. It will be mandatory to use the upgraded portal for all the recruitments that are going to be conducted by UPSC. The portal was launched on May 28, 2025. All the candidates who wish to apply for CDS, NDA II exam must register themselves on the new portal. The registration process includes four modules- Account creation, Universal Registration, Common Application Form and Examination.
Application Fee And Payment Mode of UPSC CDS & NDA/NA II Exam 2025:
The application fees set aside for CDS II and NDA II exams is Rs.200/- and Rs.100/- respectively for male candidates belonging to UR,OBC categories whereas female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST categories Wards are exempted from paying both the application fees. Also, Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from paying the fee to fill the form for NDA II exam.
The payment must be done online by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit/UPI payment or Internet banking of any bank.

- Click on UPSC NDA/NA & CDS II Exam 2025 link available on the home page.
- A new page will open where candidates will have to register themselves online.
- Once registration is done, log in to the account.
- Fill the application form and make the payment of the application fee
- Click on the submit button and download the page.
- Keep a hard copy of the same for further reference.
