The Indian Air Force (IAF) officially invites online applications for AFCAT on June 2, 2025. All eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website – afcat.cdac.in. The last date of online registration is July 1, 2025.

The Indian Air Force has opened an online registration window for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2025 from June 3, 2025, and will remain active till July 1, 2025. Through the recruitment drive, IAF aims to fill 284 vacancies in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical ) Branch. To know more, read below.

Eligibility Criteria of IAF AFCAT 2025
Nationality
A candidate must be an Indian as per the Indian Citizenship Act,1955.
Age Limit(as on July 1,2026)
1. Flying Branch: 20-24 years(born not earlier than July 2,2002 and not later than July 1,2006)both dates inclusive.
2. Ground Duty(Technical and Non-Technical) Branch: 20-26 years (born between July 2, 2002 and July 1, 2006( both dates inclusive).
Note: Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
Marital status
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course, and marriage is not permitted during training.
Education Qualification
- Flying Branch: Graduation (min.60% with Physics and Mathematics in 10+2)
- Technical Brunch: Engineering degree (min.60%)in relevant fields.
- Ground Duty Branches: Varies as per role( Graduation/Post Graduation required)
Date of Birth
As per the Notification “the date of birth accepted by the IAF is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, the extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate.”

Application fee of AFCAT 2025
The application fee of AFCAT 2025 is Rs.550+GST(non-refundable). Candidates who register for the NCC Special entry will have to pay nothing.
Examination Pattern of AFCAT 2025:
The AFCAT exam has an online test followed by an AFSB interview. The online test consists of 100 MCQs on General Awareness, Verbal ability on English, Numerical ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude. Total marks are 300 with a negative marking scheme.

- Download the submitted application form and keep a hard copy of the same for further reference.
