RRBs and SSC have recruited 1,03,196 candidates for govt jobs in the first quarter of the 2023-24 Financial Year.

A total of 4,63,205 candidates have been recruited by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and Railway Recruitment Boards(RRBs) between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2023.
SSC and RRBs have recruited 1,03,196 candidates for government jobs in the first quarter of the 2023-24 financial year.
The figures have been shared by the Minister of State for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh, through a written document in the Rajya Sabha on 20 July. He also said that the government had issued instructions to all ministries and departments to fill up the vacant posts timely.
“Rozgar melas being organized by the government of India are expected to act as a catalyst in filling up all vacancies,” Singh reported.
In another reply, he said that the filling up of all vacant posts in various ministries and departments is under process.
The Minister said that the government job recruitment drive is carried out by various entities including the Central ministries, departments, central public sector undertakings(CPSUs), and autonomous bodies including health and education institutes, banks, etc The entities make recruitment either directly or through recruitment agencies such as the Staff Selection Commission(SSC), Union Public Service Commission(UPSC), Railway Recruitment Boards(RRBs) and, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS).
